The place is packed with people. Sometimes the music gets too loud and tables under-serviced.

Super fun, upbeat local crowd at this cafe/restaurant- the servers are fabulous(friendly with personality) - I loved the atmosphere (old school cafe decor) and the great wine and specials. Affordable and good quality food- and they allowed me to bring my dog! I would recommend!

I had a very good experience here this evening. I did not go here expecting great food. My goal was to simply relax outdoors with a couple of good cocktails, basic French food. This bistro clearly helped me achieve the evening's goal. The waiter was very nice. It was a busy night as the place was packed. He handled the chaos quite well, gave me all the attention I needed. I noted he also took excellent care of a number of tables. 5 star service here. I had the escargots, 6 burgundy snails served in a traditional fashion. They were very good, solid 4 star quality. I do wish there was more snail butter for me to dip the bread into. I then had the foie gras. It was a 5 star dish. It was served with thin slices of persimmon, fruit paste, some kind of pepper/seed dip and toast points. It worked and I got my foie gras fix for the week. Fact is I would order this dish again in a heartbeat. This is a lovely neighborhood place in the Marais. They're not trying to win Michelin stars. Their goal is to provide good food and drink at fair prices.

My husband and I walked in for a late and very jet lagged dinner. We'd been wandering the Marais, looking for the 'perfect' bistro for dinner and after looking at 10 menus and saying "no lets not sit there" to another 5 cafes decided this was the one no matter what and walked in the door. Once we were through the standard "Boire ou Manger?" exchange. we were seated quickly for our meal, led by a server to the back end of the restaurant to an empty table; it ended up giving us a great view of all the other patrons (and potential dinner options) We tried to interact in French with the server who very quickly took pity on our terrible accents and helped us out. He even kindly pointed out the electric outlet behind out table when he saw me pull out a battery for my phone. We ordered a bottle of red wine to start and slowly (in french time) perused the menu. I ended up with the Burger with Jamon and will continue to tell every American who visits Paris they need to try it. This turned out to be one of the best burgers I've ever eaten; moist and that perfect medium rare, fresh veggies (in November) that offered exactly the right crispness and the jamon - salty, soft and the perfect compliment, all on (of course) amazing french bread. Usually my husband and I share meals so we can taste both plates but I almost couldn't give this up. Once he had a taste he kept giving longing looks to my burger until I polished it off. It was a fantastic leisurely meal, out of the bustle of the french streets and we people watched as we finished out bottle of wine. This wasn't an inexpensive meal, but it was well worth it for the experience and that delicious burger.
